Steve Fisher commented in today’s Demver Post about the important role the X-Games have played in the action sports world.
“It’s definitely become the staple event of all action sports because of what ESPN has done for it. X Games are the only event action sports get mainstream credit for,” Fisher said. “It’s really getting snowboarding out there, skiing out there, snowmobiling out there. So regular middle-class America doesn’t tune in anymore and ask, ‘What’s that ski-boarding thing there?’ ”
