BACKGROUND

Cheryl is the strongest female weightlifter in the United States and has been ranked #1 among all female lifters in all weight classes for eight consecutive years since 1999, when she was just sixteen.

Cheryl has participated in two Olympic Games (2000 and 2004), winning the Bronze Medal in 2000 in Sydney at the age of 17. Cheryl finished sixth at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens less than a year after a career threatening elbow injury. She is currently training to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.

Cheryl is ten-time consecutive National Champion and earned the title of "Strongest Woman" (ever) in the United States at the age of fifteen in 1998. Cheryl also holds all School-age, Junior, Senior and Pan-American records in her weight class of 75+kgs.

Cheryl has held the title of "Strongest Woman in the Western
