BACKGROUND

Jill Kintner is one of the most dominant female cyclists in the world. With every title in 4x Mountain biking, and every major title in BMX, Jill has prevailed across two sports.

4X is a very fast, often furious, gravity fed sprint on a mountain bike (typically lasting around 60 seconds or so) down hilly, twisting, obstacle-dotted courses involving four riders racing head-to-head. The sport is like a hybrid between BMX and downhill mountain bike racing, an abrupt, frantic test of agility over varying terrain.

After a 5-year focus on mountain biking, Jill is returning to BMX to attempt to qualify for the US Olympic Team. The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing will be the first time BMX will be an Olympic sport.

Jill began racing BMX in 1989 at age 8, turned pro at age 16, went into pro mountain bike racing in 2002 at 21, and now competes in both sports internationally.
