BACKGROUND

Sarah Schleper is a three-time Olympian, four-time National Champion, and has earned numerous medals in World Cup competitions.

Sarah is taking the 2006-7 season off due to injuries. In late 2005, pre-season back surgery helped resolve disc problems, enabling her to make it through the Torino Olympics. She ended the 2006 season with a torn left ACL plus meniscus and lesser MCL injury in Norway in March. She is currently surfing in Mexico and rehabilitating and giving her body a much needed and well-deserved break to prepare for the 2007-8 season.

Schleper intends to breathe new life into the World Cup circuit in 2007-2008 after a season of recess. "I can't wait to get in the gate, roar like a lioness, and lay down fast times again." She has her eyes on a medal in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.
